Drone mapping and aerial surveying
Drone mapping turns overlapping aerial images into measurable data: scaled orthomosaic maps, digital elevation models, and volume calculations. Useful at any stage of a project where you need to understand the shape, extent, or quantities on a site.
Mapping deliverables
Output is matched to what the project needs.
- +Orthomosaic maps scaled to the site boundary
- +Digital surface and elevation models
- +Stockpile volume measurements and cut/fill calculations
- +Contour overlays and point measurements
- +Site boundary and feature documentation
Construction site applications
Mapping is useful at clearing and grading (baseline conditions and earthwork tracking), at key construction milestones, and for final as-built documentation. Volume measurements from repeated flights track earthwork quantities over time without a ground crew.
Mapping flights pair naturally with BMP inspection and construction monitoring flights, sharing mobilization time when multiple deliverables are needed on the same visit.
A note on survey-grade work
Drone mapping supports planning, estimating, and general documentation. Where a licensed survey is required by permit or contract, we coordinate with your surveyor to provide aerial data that fits their workflow and control point network.
